We’re looking for a full-stack developer, most of the work will be in React and WordPress, to support our team with an ongoing project. The project itself is an app focused on helping users better understand and navigate conflict by improving their self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
In this role, you’ll:
- Help continue to build and iterate on our existing prototype (don’t worry, it wasn’t vibe coded – this isn’t an AI slop rehabilitation gig)
- Mostly work in React, helping to improve the user experience, presentation, and layout
- Some content management elements are managed within WordPress, and will require new sections, connections, and management of elements
- Meet with the project team once or twice a week, as needed to share updates and ensure you have what you need to make progress
To succeed in this position, you’ll need:
- Experience working with modern frontend frameworks and libraries, specifically React
- Experience with WordPress development, including custom plugins, functionality, data structures, and integrations
- Comfort using Git, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience in integrating REST APIs and GraphQL
- A solution-oriented mentality and the perspective, context, and awareness to solve complex problems in a sustainable way
- Ideally, 5+ years of experience building cool stuff for the internet, and a commitment to continuous learning (for yourself and others)
- Availability to work at least 2 hours overlap with 9-5 pm ET
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact through quality work
What you get:
We anticipate this project will require 20-40 hours of effort per month, slightly more to start as you ramp up, and then more recurrent efforts as we get into 2-week cycles of feedback, revisions, and iteration within the system. Pay can be structured to be hourly, P/T contract, or project-based, depending on your preference and capabilities.
